Grad students

I have no idea how many hours a week I work… And frankly, I don’t know if I want to know because the whole hourly wage thing might make me too sad.

Is it ever enough? Oh god no, it is never enough.

Work/life balance? What is that? But on a serious note, my advisor gave me a piece of advice when I first started graduate school. She said that I should try to do one fun thing every weekend, and for the most part I’ve done that. It seems to have kept me sane… I think.

37. womanofkleenex answered: How many hours a week I work varies wildlly. I’d say it’s usually at least 40 plus 5-10 of post-work work. I feel pretty balanced now.
38. sasstacular answered: i work 38 hours per week but only have 2 classes. sometimes it’s hard. but i think i keep a decent balance. mainly bc i procrastinate haha
